I met with one of my new triathlon clients recently and noticed 7 things during a quick 5 minutes review of his triathlon bike (this was after I begged him to bring his bike to one of his swim training sessions). Hopefully you can learn from these 7 issues:

1. Basic triathlon bike maintenance. The first thing I noticed was his chain - it was rusty. Six drops of chain lube could have prevented this rust. Beginner triathletes often know little about basic bicycle maintenance. The chain should be cleaned when dirty and lubricated. Your local bike shop can give you some great suggestions about cleaning solutions and lubricants you can use on your triathlon bike.

The Fat Flush diet plan is written by Ann Louise Gittleman who has also authored several other books on detox diets and nutrition as well. Although the name leaves something to be desired, if the plan works it really doesn’t matter what you call it. So, how does the Fat Flush plan stack up?

It’s important to keep in mind that Fat Flush is not simply a diet plan; it is also a detoxification diet that claims to clean out your body of impurities and help it to function at a healthier level.

Thank goodness birthing babies is the #1 cause. But think of this?€?.when we are born we get dealt a hand of cards- our DNA and RNA. This is our inherited genetic strengths and weaknesses. Does having a weakness mean we will manifest that ?€?inherited?€ disease? NO! It absolutely does not- not if we ?€?play our cards right?€. What we need to do is to make certain that the nutrients and support needed for that weak aspect are provided so that degeneration in those areas does not occur.

‘Detox’ seems to be the new ‘cool’. Everyone talks about ‘going on a detox’ as if it’s some kind of trendy rehab for a period of eating or drinking to excess.

Every magazine or newspaper you pick up seems to have its own idea of what ‘detox’ involves and ‘how you can revive your body in just 7 days!’

It makes me laugh…

Why bother following some complex program dream’t up by the latest health guru?

Travel Accident Insurance Programs usually cater to those individuals who want some kind of insurance for themselves while traveling both inland as well as out of the country, to try and secure their financial risks in case of an accident or any untoward incident.

Travel medical insurance protects your health and covers most health risks while you are traveling. The coverage covers you ?€?Travel Medical?€? and?€? Evacuation?€? that insures you in case of an emergency during traveling. Short term plans to immediate ones, from even 5 days to a year and it generally covers accident, illness and emergencies.

While many health care workers are aware that there is a link between some physical illnesses and nutritional deficiencies, not many people are aware that mental disorders also have a nutrition link. Most believe that mental illnesses are strictly emotional and have no metabolic or biochemical association. Nutrition, however, may play a greater role in depression than is widely known. Some researchers believe that nutrition can play a key role, both in the onset, severity, and duration of depression, including daily mood swings.

The South Beach Diet became outrageously successful after the diet book by almost the same name was published, released and picked up momentum in neighborhood niches as dieting success ‘before’s and after’s’ were whispered about and raved about. The book, in question, The South Beach Diet: The Delicious, Doctor-Designed, Foolproof Plan for Fast and Healthy Weight Loss. I would however recommend buying the South Beach Diet book used since, because of how popular book became (2nd best selling book in the U.S. in the last 10 years - as of the year 2006) there have been over zealous printings, which results in new and used copies for less than a buck, including hardcover versions.
